Daily Yoga Classes

Day 1—3: The first days together will set intentions for your journey by incorporating vinyasa flows in the morning and Yin classes in the evening. Each day will bring significance as you take in the surrounding vineyards and ocean views that make Santorini a special destination.

Day 4—6: Most instructors are unaware that traveling and yoga go hand-in-hand. Thankfully for your instructor, Laura, she knows this all too well. Which is why these days will take place at the Provalma Studios, known for its remarkable sceneries, allowing for the perfect balance of peacefulness and beauty.

Day 6: As an ancient battle ground, Filopappou Hill offers a unique location to meditate and flow, offering new meaning and perspectives to your traveling yoga experience. It resides in a blissful plot of nature in the center of Athens and gives breathtaking views of the Acropolis and Attica.

Day 7: It will be in this final day that your spirit will shine as bright as the white sand beaches. This closing class will focus on reflection of your journey, both spiritually and physically, while the rest of the day will allow for a final glimpse at the remarkable city of Athens.


Detailed Itinerary

May 14 | Welcome to Greece! 

Fly into Athens International Airport and then catch a connecting flight to Santorini, the island of a thousand postcard photos. Santorini is the Greece we dream about: From the villages of brilliant white and legendary sunsets to its volcanic beaches and ancient mystery, Santorini is paradise. The island boasts of accomplished artists, award-winning wineries, a unique microbrewery, and some of the Cyclades' finest accommodation and dining experiences. Settle in after arriving at your hotel before enjoying an evening yoga class on the helipad of the hotel!

May 15 | Private Day Cruise Around Santorini

Today, after a morning yoga class to get you centered and a healthy breakfast, you will get to feel the energy of the Aegean Sea with a 5-hour cruise that includes peaceful breaks for snorkeling and a refreshing lunch. During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Hot Springs, photograph the volcano from ideal vantage points, and admire the beautiful coastline. The cool of the water invites you for a swim with amazing views everywhere you look. The return route back to port is full of legendary island views and rich details. Includes lunch and drinks on board. Optional evening yoga class.

May 16 | The Awe of Folegandros

After a sunrise yoga class and a relaxing breakfast, take a relaxing and scenic ferry ride from Santorini to the island of Folegandros, where you will spend the next 2 nights. This spectacular but still lesser-known island in the Aegean See captivates visitors with the untouched beauty of its beaches, the luminous blue of its waters, and the unadulterated style of its architecture. Upon arrival, enjoy a afternoon tour of the island of, where you will discover Kástro, a Venetian castle, 200m above sea level, and explore the capital town of Hóra, built within the castle. Walking through Folegandros brings bougainvilleas leaning over balconies, sugar-cube whitewashed houses, and sheer cliffs for the island’s ethereal, yet wild, beauty. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon to relax and participate in an optional evening yoga class.

May 17 | Hiking + Organic Garden

Beginning in Island Square, today you will hike around the windy trails for spectacular views of the hills and photographic opportunities of the Island of Folegandros. Lunch will be served in a stunning organic garden. Afterwards, take time to explore the island on your own or with your new friends. Optional evening yoga class. 

May 18 | Free Day in Folegandros

Today is a free day to as you wish day: Enjoy a swim, lose yourself in the storybook streets, or discover your own place to relax. 

 

May 19 | Exploring Athens & the Acropolis

Welcome back to Athens! Today, you’ll board a ferry for a 2-hour ride back to Athens. Check into your hotel, and then head out on a half-day walking tour and a visit to the Acropolis. Here, you’ll learn how this incredible structure combines the best of science, art and philosophy at a time like no other in human civilization. The Acropolis, and the Parthenon in particular, is the most characteristic piece of the entire ancient Greek civilization.

May 20 | Say Goodbye to Greece!

In the morning, after your final yoga class on this trip, you'll be transferred to the airport in Athens for your flight home or to your next destination.

Built around a 400-year old winery, the 5-star Vedema Resort overlooks rolling vineyards, the Aegean Sea, and sunsets bursting with color. Meet Your Instructor

Laura Trachtman

Laura has made it her career to help students reach hidden strengths and stretch beyond their perceived limits. With a love for good yoga and good food (not necessarily in that order), it’s easy to connect with her on a personal level. Professionally, Laura is a registered yoga teacher at the 500-hour level, who's completed advanced training with Jonny Kest and David Swenson. She passionately teaches vinyasa, slow flow and yin yoga with a team of 16 teachers at two studio locations.

Vinyasa Yoga

One of the most popular forms of yoga, vinyasa links breath to movement in a dynamic, continuous flow of postures.

Yin Yoga 

Slow paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time to support joint health and relaxation.

Partner Yoga 

Explore deeper stretches, new connections, and the energetic power of touch with this partner-based yoga experience.

Ayurveda Workshop 

Learn about Ayurveda, yoga's sister science of holistic healing/nutrition; and discover how a fresh, seasonal Mediterranean diet combined with an Ayurveda practice can be a powerful tool for disease prevention, anti-aging and rejuvenation.

Chakra Balancing Workshop 

Stimulate and open the seven energy centers in the body with a combination of yoga and mediation utilizing breath, mantras, essential oils and sound.
